Players must manage social achievements, civilizational achievements and must make sure to equip the armies and fleets with the most modern equipment available.
War is often not the best choice, but is always an option. You may plot and scheme and get your way that way instead.
Can you build your colonial superpower by plotting, conquering, and producing better than the other players?
