Naval combat in the American Civil War.

Iron and Oak is a naval war game, set in the American Civil War. Each of the ships in the game is accurately modelled for it's combat capapbilities. Gunnery, ramming, damage and armored or wooden hit locations,as well as maneuverability and crew size.

70 famous ships of the era are under your command. The Tecumseh, the Alabama, and many more famous ships of the line.

The game contains 14 scenarios in this easy-to-learn game and many of them are playable in less than an hour. One of the 14 scenarios is a hypthetical scenario, with the rest being true historical scenarios. Such as the duel between the Alabama and the Kearsage.

Some of the scenarios tie together in a greater context suge as the saga of the Arkansas. Playable as a mini-campaign.

As a simple naval simulation, Iron and Oak has it's focus on quick action and tactical decision making. Replay naval history in any way you see fit, either through your own designed campaigns, or the historically accurate ones which come with the game.
